This project consists of setting up of a broadcast capability within TaitaTaveta County to enable the County Government and her citizens communicate better in development, entertainment, politics and education. The costs of running a radio and television station are relatively low and have recently become even lower with the move to digital broadcasting in Kenya. This project envisages acquiring a broadcast capability in radio and growing that organically into a TV station financed by borrowing secured on the cash flows of the radio business. It will thus be in two phases: Phase 1 - setup of a radio station – Cost approximately USD 200,000 – 5 years Phase 2 - setup of a TV station – cost approximately USD 6 million – 6th year onwards
