Lease of the Lamu Port: -Total area comprises 3 berths with 400 meters quay wall each. Potentially 2 container berths and one for general cargo / breakbulk. -Space is reserved over the total length of the terminal for a rail freight station. -Terminal is connected to the mainland via a 2 by 2 lane causeway. -Total investments for the first three berths amount to USD 500M.. -Berth 1 has been finalized and was officially opened in May 2021. Berth 2-3 have been available since late 2022. -Currently, 2 Mobile Harbour Cranes are operational and 3 MHC will be delivered in June/July 2023. 3 STS gantries have been purchased and are expected early 2024.
