Summary

The increase in operational timelines by investors has created a need for development of housing that is proximal to their manufacturing facilities both for the investors and their workers in Athi River EPZ. The solution is to develop a proposed residential development based on the Athi River EPZ master plan, which provides for industrial zone as the main user and, commercial and residential zones as supporting uses. The total investment requirement is Kshs. 22 Billion over a construction period of 5 years in 3 phases and the expected ROI is 10.28%. The proposed development will create approximately 500 jobs during the construction period and develop about 7,000 units under the BETA.
